Breast Implants: When is it advisable to remove or replace an implant?

The first step will be the removal of the implants. Optimally, at the previous incision areas, the plastic surgeon will make an incision and remove the implants. Implant revision surgeries are performed under general anesthesia with a hospital stay of 1 to 2 days. After a recovery time of 5 to 7 days, you can resume your daily routine, but you should avoid strenuous activities for several weeks in order to support the healing process.
