Aestheticon’s Face Lift concept:
The most important part of the face is the mid face areas including the eyelids and cheeks down to the lips. The other important part is the jawline and neck area and finally the forehead. None of these areas should be treated separately in a facelift procedure. They age together and they should be fixed together. Of course the extend of ageing in these areas differs from case to case. Some may have a considerable laxity on their neck and jawline, but still a nice forehead. Others, may have still a tight neck but severely aged mid face.
The art of facelift surgery and the skill of the surgeon will be to address all of this areas with the extend of correction each of them deserves. Another important fact is, that the vector of descent of the skin differs between mid-face and neck and jawline. The mid-face drops vertically, whereas the jawline and neck drop in an oblique manner towards the chin. We at Aestheticon reverse the signs of ageing by bringing the tissue back to their origins with the right vector pull.
Dr. Afschin Ghofrani has used for many years a sophisticated muscle suspension technique to lift the lower eyelid and mid-face. He has over time embedded this into the composite facelift concept developed by his friend Dr. Sam Hamra (www.drhamra.com). By using the principle of the composite facelift Dr. Afschin is able to deliver astonishing results, which are durable over many years and provide a natural and youthful look.
About the surgery:
The surgery is performed in general anesthesia in one of our partner hospitals. Depending on the severity of the case it may take 3 to 5 hours for a full composite facelift. The incisions are placed at the upper and lower eyelid, around the ear and sometimes a small incision below the chin. The entire forehead, face and neck is rejuvenated including the eyelids. The patient will receive a mild compression bandage around the face and neck and recover on the ward in their private room. At the following morning the bandage is removed by the surgeon and so are the soft drains and the patient can be discharged back home.
The sutures around the eyes will be removed after 5 to 6 days and the remaining after 12 days.
Some patients resume work after 6 days, but in general normal daily activities can be resumed after 12 to 14 days.
